Cents of Mind was founded by two entrepreneurial businesswomen with a shared dream to make running your own business more manageable, identifying savings and financial inefficiencies, and giving you the tools to make informed decisions regarding both growth and performance.
We have expertise in all areas of bookkeeping, accounting, forecasting and budget planning. Together, we bring 55+ years of knowledge and experience in multiple industries and all sizes of business to include the franchise model.
Our strongest skill is bringing two differing minds to the same problem. Jennifer brings the analytical side while Kendra brings the accounting side creating the best partnership to help you make “Cents” of your business with confidence and put your “Mind” at ease.

Kendra graduated from University of San Diego with a bachelor's in accountancy and master's in international business. After graduation, she worked for the accounting firm, Arthur Andersen in the Audit division.
She has over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, including Biotechnology, Security, Service, and Retail. Kendra

She has over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, including Biotechnology, Security, Service, and Retail. Kendra also successfully owned and operated a small business with 4 franchise locations and 30+ employees for 10 years.
Currently, alongside partnering with Jennifer at Cents of Mind, Kendra serves as Chief Operating Officer for La Jolla Labs, a start-up biotechnology company specializing in RNA therapeutics.
Throughout her career, it has been important to Kendra to serve her community through volunteer opportunities that include serving on the Trust Foundation Board at CSUSM, but more importantly serving as a foster parent for Angels Foster Family Network.

She has over 20 years of experience in large scale commercial construction project management including
forecasting and budgeting multiple projects valued at $100M. In addition to project mana

She has over 20 years of experience in large scale commercial construction project management including
forecasting and budgeting multiple projects valued at $100M. In addition to project management, Jennifer has expertise in assembling and managing cost of work billings.
She has successfully run and managed a $1M+ / year small business with detailed budgeting and forecasting along with up to date and detailed financials. Jennifer has brought an unknown brand into Orlando and built three locations to all rank in the Top 5 nationally.
Jennifer has trained a National audience on basics of budgeting, forecasting and the importance of maintaining strong financials in daily business. She was able to sell her three-location business for maximum profit and support the buyer obtaining an SBA backed loan with the strong financial records she kept over the life of her business.
